Terms of use
Last updated: 4 November 2026
These terms apply when you use the Hopworld app and this website. Hopworld is provided by Blossom Osiuhwu, a sole trader, based in Ireland ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these terms. Apple's standard licence agreement for App Store apps also applies.
Using Hopworld
You may use Hopworld for your own, personal, non-commercial use. Please don't misuse it: for example, don't try to get around the lives or Trip Pass, access other people's data, or interfere with the service.
Your account
Lessons need an account. Keep access to your Apple ID or email address secure, because that's how you sign in. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Learn › account button › Delete account). We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Purchases
- All purchases are made through Apple's App Store and charged by Apple. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- A Trip Pass gives unlimited lives and every level for 30 days from the moment you buy it. It's a single payment and doesn't renew automatically.
- A lives refill fills your lives straight away and is used up when you buy it.
- Purchases are linked to your Hopworld account and work on all devices where you're signed in. If you delete your account, any Trip Pass time left is lost.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Translations and lessons
Hopworld helps you communicate, but translations, phrases and pronunciation feedback can be wrong or miss context. Don't rely on them alone where a mistake could matter, such as medical, legal or safety information, allergies, or official documents.
In an emergency, call the local emergency number (112 works across the European Union and in many other countries) rather than relying on the app.
Our content
The app, its lessons, audio, artwork and the Orbi character belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, sell or redistribute them.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Hopworld running well, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or improve the app, and we'll give reasonable notice before removing anything you've paid for.
Liability
We're responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. If you don't agree with the new terms, you can stop using the app and delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
